Jasani Department of Jewellery Design & Manufacture

Founded in 1994, Jasani Department of Jewellery Design & Manufacture was set up with the guidance and help of Decta Consultants of U.K. and The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India.

‘Diploma in Jewellery Design & Manufacture’ is conducted by P.V. Polytechnic, S.N.D.T. Women’s University, a pioneer Institute for Technical Education of Women in India. This is the only Diploma Programme of its kind conducted under reputed S.N.D.T. University’s National jurisdiction. The course aims at nurturing the creativity of the students and preparing them for effective and successful professional practice within and across the related categories of Jewellers, designers, Artists and Manufacturers. Diploma holders of the Department have won many awards in Jewellery Design Competitions at both National and International levels and they have been serving the Industry as Qualified Professionals for more than a decade.

Eligibility – S.S.C. or equivalent, Min. 35%

Core Subjects

Jewellery Design, Manufacture, History of Art & Jewellery, Export Procedure, Environmental Studies, Gold and other precious Metals, Book Keeping, Diamond Grading, Gemmology, Personality Development, Yoga, Computer Training - Basic Designing on Corel, Computer aided Jewellery Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM), Merchandising, Retail Management, Branding, Communication Skills, Indian Market, International Markets. Imitation Jewellery.

Special Features

The Annual Event ‘INSPIRATION’ exhibits the design projects of graduating students.
Research in design projects is an integral part of the curriculum.
Diamond Grading and Basic Gemmology courses are conducted by the Experts in Industry.
